4 Diwali animation prompts for Claude Code
Happy Diwali from Laviyx Learn. We carried one flame through these 4 worlds in a single reel, made with Claude Code and Remotion. Each prompt describes the technique behind a world.

1. Rangoli
Coloured powder rings that bloom outward from the lamp.
Make a 5-second 1080x1920 Remotion video of a lit diya with a flickering flame, in the exact centre of the frame, drawn only in code. Use a rangoli style: seven rings of pointed SVG petals in bright colours that scale in one after another, rotating slowly in opposite directions. Use feTurbulence and feDisplacementMap with a fine grain mask so the shapes look like loose coloured powder, and let marigold petals fall across the frame.

2. Shadow Puppet
Jointed leather figures on a glowing cloth screen.
Make a 5-second 1080x1920 Remotion video of a lit diya with a flickering flame, in the exact centre of the frame, drawn only in code. Use a shadow puppet style inspired by Tholu Bommalata, the leather puppet theatre of Andhra Pradesh: a cloth screen lit from behind by the flame, with a light that flickers. Add coloured figures in profile with dark outlines, punched dot patterns, jointed arms and visible rods, plus a blurred landmark shadow behind them. Move at 15 frames a second.

3. Stained Glass
Glass panes that light up in rings from the flame outward.
Make a 5-second 1080x1920 Remotion video of a lit diya with a flickering flame, in the exact centre of the frame, drawn only in code. Use a stained glass style: a pointed arch window filled with panes built from true SVG arcs in rings around the flame, gold in the centre and deep blue at the edge, with thick dark lead lines. Light each pane as a wave spreads out from the flame, then pulse it gently. Add a blurred copy of the panes for glow and a faint glass texture.

4. Particle Light
Thousands of sparks that gather into a lamp under fireworks.
Make a 5-second 1080x1920 Remotion video of a lit diya with a flickering flame, in the exact centre of the frame, drawn only in code. Use a particle style on an HTML canvas with additive blending, drawing the same result for the same frame. Sample thousands of random points inside the shape of the diya, start them scattered, and ease them into place with a stagger and a little twinkle. Add fireworks where each spark follows a fixed formula with drag, gravity and a short trail.
How to use them
- Open Claude Code in a new, empty folder.
- Copy a prompt, and change the subject or colours if you want to.
- Ask Claude Code to render the video, then describe any changes you want.
- To make a reel, ask for all four styles and join them with a circle that grows out of the flame.
Your first result may need a few follow-up messages, and it will not match our reel exactly. Claude Code needs a Claude account, so check its current plans, and check Remotion's licence if you are making videos for a company.
